Job summary

My Kids Smile in South Reno is seeking a Front Desk / Receptionist for a short-term pediatric dental assignment. You will greet families, manage calls, check patients in and out, and coordinate scheduling with our clinical team.

The role supports a pediatric dental team, requiring 1–3 years of customer service, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and a professional, warm communication style. The temporary position runs through September 30, 2026, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no healthcare

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of customer service experience; prior front office experience in a dental or medical setting is a bonus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred; conversational or fluent.
• Clear, warm, and professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available to work full temporary duration through Sept 30, 2026, with the stated shift.
• Willingness to travel to nearby sister locations if needed; background check and drug screen required.

Front Desk / Receptionist (PEDIATRIC DENTAL – TEMPORARY POSITION)

• Company: My Kids Smile
• Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Position
• Hourly Rate: $18.50 per hour (Depending on Experience)
• Standard Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT DATES & SCHEDULE DETAILS:

• Assignment Duration: Immediate Start through September 30, 2026
• Excluded / Unpaid Off Days: August 10, 11, 12, and 21 | September 7 (Labor Day Holiday)
• Special Half-Days: September 14–17 (Reduced operational hours)
• Please note: As a short-term temporary position, standard healthcare and PTO benefits are not offered for this role.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Welcome Families: Act as the first friendly face parents and kids see, creating a comforting, high-energy environment right at check-in.
• Front Office Flow: Manage multi-line phone systems, answer parent questions, check patients in/out, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Clinical Synergy: Work closely with our pediatric clinical staff and doctors to keep daily appointments running smoothly and on time.
• Patient Records: Maintain accurate digital patient charts and records inside our practice management system.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

• Experience: 1–3 years of customer service experience (prior front office experience in a dental or medical setting is a huge bonus!).
• Bilingual Skills: Conversational or fluent English/Spanish bilingual skills are highly preferred!
• Communication: Clear, warm, and professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
• Availability: Ability to work the full temporary duration through September 30, 2026, including the specific shift schedule and blackout dates noted above.
• Travel Flexibility: Reliable transportation (willingness to assist at nearby sister locations in the Reno area if needed is a plus).
• Compliance: This is a safety-sensitive role that requires a successful pre-employment drug screen. We strictly adhere to all CDC, OSHA, and ADA safety guidelines.
