Job description

Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time Pediatric Intensivist to join our dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care unit (CVICU). This is an excellent opportunity for a pediatric intensivist interested in a career in cardiac critical care to join a well-established multidisciplinary team of specialists caring for children with congenital heart disease. The Arnold Palmer & Winnie Palmer Hospital NICU is currently the sixth largest in the country.

The desired candidate must be BC/BE in pediatric critical care medicine and preference will be given to individuals with dual training in pediatric critical care and cardiology or pediatric critical care and a year of advanced training in cardiac intensive care medicine.

In this role, the ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the CV Surgery Managing Physician team, Service Line leadership, and hospital administration to successfully continue to deliver outstanding care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: M.D., D.O.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA Pediatric Residency and Child and Cardiac Critical Care Fellowship
    • Additional Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care is preferred, but not required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics
  • Unrestricted FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and DEA
