Job summary

CHOC Specialists in Orange County is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join the CVICU team. You will provide advanced clinical expertise for pediatric cardiovascular critical care and work within a family-centered care environment.

The role emphasizes evaluation, diagnosis and management of pre- and post-operative cardiac patients, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and education for families.

Qualifications

• California licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner with at least two years of bedside nursing in direct pediatric cardiovascular ICU care.
• At least one year of clinical pediatric NP experience required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and treat cardiac medical patients in the CVICU.
• Develop and implement plans of care for all CVICU patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiac team and educate patients and families.
