Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a casual CRNA to join our anesthesia care team, collaborating with anesthesiologists to provide pediatric anesthesia to neonatal, pediatric and adolescent patients.

You will assess, plan, administer anesthesia, monitor patient status, document in EMR, and participate in quality improvement, with day, night and weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Graduate from a COA-accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Currently licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse and as a Florida APRN.
• Certification from the NBCRNA or its predecessor with biannual recertification.

Responsibilities

• Performs individualized pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation.
• Develops and implements an anesthetic plan for the patient.
• Initiates general, regional, local, or sedation anesthesia as appropriate.
• Monitors patient status with appropriate modalities throughout perioperative care.
• Manages emergence and recovery with medications, fluids, and ventilation support.

Education

BSN or higher from an accredited RN program

Nurse anesthesia program accredited by COA

Florida Registered Nurse License

Florida APRN license

NABCRNA certification (CRNA)
