Job summary

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida, is seeking certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our pediatric anesthesia team in Orlando. New graduates welcome; environment supports growth in pediatric care with in-house shifts and no on-call requirements.

The role collaborates with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other APNs to deliver 100% pediatric care across diverse cases, with opportunities for teaching and professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by COA or predecessor.
• Current Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
• Current Certification from NBCRNA or predecessor with biannual recertification.
• AHA BLS, PALS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform individualized pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation.
• Select and administer pre-anesthetic medications and fluids; obtain informed consent.
• Apply monitoring modalities for perioperative care.
• Facilitate emergence and recovery with anesthesia management.
• Discharge patients from PACU and provide post-anesthesia care.
• Respond to emergencies with airway management and resuscitation.
• Monitor and evaluate quality of care with anesthesia team.
