Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks a qualified NP or PA to support hospital medicine on the Medical Center floors. You will work under supervision of the Medical Director and collaborate with PCCs, nurses, and discharge coordinators to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

Required credentials include NP/PA degree, state licensure, and BCLS/ACLS certifications. Travel between facilities and a flexible schedule are expected as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Requires NP or PA licensure in state of practice.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or PA degree required.
• Certification in BCLS/ACLS as per American Heart Association.
• NCCPA certification or APRN licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Uses approved medical practices to deliver patient care.
• Provides care across physical, psycho/social, educational and safety needs for patients.
• Maintains an attitude of inquiry toward outcomes and may develop research methods.
• Provides education to patient families, staff, other health professionals, and the community.
• Adapts care to the patient population while respecting privacy and communication style.
• Other related duties as required.
