Job summary

Children’s Minnesota in Minneapolis seeks a registered nurse to join the critical care float team within our pediatric intensive care unit and cardiovascular ICU. This MNA contract position supports nursing care for infants, children, and adolescents, with opportunities to work across units, including emergency and post-anesthesia care.

Required are Minnesota RN licensure, BLS, and pediatric experience preferred; PALS certification is required or obtained during orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Minnesota RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• One (1) year nursing experience in a hospital setting. Pediatric experience preferred.
• Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required or obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU settings.
• Collaborate with health team members and ensure safe, effective care.
• Support pediatric patients and families within the critical care units and adapt to unit needs.
