Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide total clinical nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients during transportation. You will lead nursing staff and coordinate with sending and receiving facilities.

This role requires extensive pediatric critical care experience, SC RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and a willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends. Join a high-stress transport team with advanced neonatal skills and a commitment to safe patient

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of pediatric critical care experience (NICU/PICU/PCICU or equivalent).
• Current RN licensure in South Carolina or compact state; BLS required.
• ACLS and PALS certification; advanced trauma course within 1 year of orientation recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for transport patients in pediatric critical care.
• Lead nursing staff and collaborate with sending/receiving facilities and transport team.
• Maintain certifications, prepare and implement clinical plans for pediatric patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per medical plan and policies.
• Ensure safety during transport and communicate with multidisciplinary team.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

RN with ASN or Diploma acceptable (BSN within 4 years)
