Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking an EMT to join the Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team at the Medicare base in North Charleston. You will work nights with an every-other-weekend schedule, providing advanced ground transport for neonatal and pediatric patients aboard a dual-mission ambulance.

Responsibilities include assisting the flight crew, ensuring safe transport, maintaining equipment readiness, and participating in community outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EMT certification in SC is required.
• NREMT certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and maintain the pediatric critical care ambulance.
• Assist flight crew in loading/unloading equipment to minimize lift time.
• Ensure safe ground transport of the team and equipment after patient hand-off.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vehicle equipment and supplies.
• Participate in community outreach and educational programs hosted by MUSC.
• Uphold MUSC's standards of professionalism, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
