Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking an EMT to join the pediatric critical care transport team at the North Charleston Medicare base. You will work with Pediatric Flight Nurses and Respiratory Therapists aboard a fully equipped ground ambulance, focusing on safety, efficiency, and compassionate patient care.

The role is primarily night shifts with every other weekend, requiring SC EMT certification, NREMT, BLS, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the state of South Carolina.
• NREMT certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Safely drive and maintain the pediatric critical care ambulance.
• Assist flight crew in minimizing lift time by efficiently loading and unloading equipment.
• Ensure safe ground transport of the team and equipment following patient hand-off.
• Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and functionality of all vehicle equipment and supplies.
• Participate in community outreach and educational programs hosted by MUSC.
• Uphold MUSC's standards of professionalism, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
• Complete all mandatory certifications and ongoing training as directed by the Transport Manager and Medical Director.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the state of South Carolina
