Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX, seeks an experienced Echo Technician for the Critical Care Pediatrics program. You will perform echocardiograms on ICU patients, including those on mechanical circulatory support devices, and contribute to advanced cardiac care.

Applicants should have ARDMS/CCI credentials, 3+ years in echocardiography, and 1+ year in a cardiac ICU, with ongoing CME requirements and a commitment to high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program or a related degree.
• Minimum 3 years practicing as an echo/cardiac ultrasound sonographer.
• Minimum 1 year in a cardiac intensive care setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms in accordance with ASE guidelines.
• Sets up TEEs and assists with imaging and interpretation.
• Maintains patient records and prepares preliminary reports.
• Demonstrates leadership in mentoring new echo staff and advancing critical care competencies.
• Ensures compliance with safety and documentation policies.
