Job summary

The University of Florida seeks a Physician Assistant to support the Pediatric Child Protection Team in the Tallahassee area. The PA assists physicians, conducts examinations, and coordinates care for abused and neglected children across multiple counties, working with Telemedicine and a multidisciplinary team.

The role includes reviewing reports, ordering tests, and providing medical evaluations and expert opinions under supervision of the Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in Florida per Chapter 458.
• CMS approved physician extender (as defined in CMS Provider Handbook).
• Four years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physicians and perform examinations/diagnosis for organizational clients.
• Work with CPT team and Medical Director to review cases and provide medical consultations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; write patient notes and workups; provide depositions/testimony as required.
