Job summary

University of Florida invites applications for a full-time clinical leadership role in Forensic Pediatrics. The position guides the day-to-day operations of the Child Protection Team and provides medical care to abuse victims.

The appointee will supervise CPT physicians, lead training for fellows and residents, and conduct community education sessions on child abuse. The role reports to the Division Chief of Forensics and supports statewide CPT initiatives.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required
• Must possess or be eligible for Florida Medical License

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day clinical operation of the Child Protection Team (CPT).
• Provide medical care to victims of child abuse and supervise team physicians.
• Teach fellows, residents and medical students; oversee CPT fellowship program.
• Lead community trainings on child abuse and coordinate with county agencies.
• Be available for 24/7 consultation; arrange coverage when unavailable.
• Participate in peer reviews and state-wide CPT activities; attend meetings.
