Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students in Fairfield, CA. The role focuses on delivering impactful interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT, aligning with IEPs and district schedules.

You will collaborate with teachers and OT staff, adapt activities for diverse learners, and travel regularly across Spectrum locations within the designated region to

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a COTA credential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management training.
• Experience in providing occupational therapy instruction and support, preferably in a special education setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions aligned with IEPs and approved schedules.
• Assist OT during evaluations by collecting data and observing students.
• Maintain accurate progress notes and reports per district protocols.
• Collaborate with educators to integrate therapeutic goals into classroom activities.
• Modify classroom environments and materials to enhance engagement and access to curriculum.
• Train school staff and families on adaptive equipment and techniques to boost independence.
