Job summary

Connect ABA + Therapy in Passaic, NJ is seeking a Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team. You will support licensed therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans and help children participate in meaningful activities to boost development and independence.

The role emphasizes hands-on interventions, family collaboration, and seamless documentation to track progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current NBCOT-certified COTA.
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to enhance fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation skills.
• Engage children in therapeutic play to promote social interaction and cognitive development.
• Use specialized equipment to facilitate independence in daily activities, school tasks, and recreation.
• Collaborate with families and schools to integrate goals into daily routines at home and in the community.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress notes, and outcomes in line with regulatory standards.
• Communicate progress and coordinate care with parents and the interdisciplinary team.
