Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our clinic and home health teams in Texas. You will deliver pediatric OT services under supervision, develop individualized plans, and empower children to improve fine motor skills, self-care and independence.

We offer flexible scheduling: Full-Time, Part-Time or PRN, with opportunities in both clinic and home settings.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Texas COTA license or eligible to obtain licensure before start date.
  • Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric occupational therapy services under supervision of a licensed OT and per treatment plans.
  • Implement individualized therapy to improve fine motor, sensory processing, strength, ROM, mobility, self-care, and independence.
  • Educate parents/caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies.
  • Document patient treatments, progress, and outcomes timely.
  • Collaborate with OT, SLP, PT, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families while delivering compassionate care.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, state regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Provide pediatric occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with physician-approved treatment plans.
  • Implement individualized therapy programs to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, strength, range of motion, mobility, self-care, and functional independence.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
  • Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or eligible to obtain licensure before the anticipated start date.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them achieve developmental milestones.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
