Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide one-on-one pediatric therapy in clinic and home health settings. You will work under the supervision of an OT, delivering individualized programs to support children’s development and independence.

Flexible scheduling includes Full-Time,Part-Time and PRN options, with opportunities to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team and grow professionally in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Texas COTA license or eligible to obtain licensure before start date.
  • Pediatric experience is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them achieve developmental milestones.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pediatric occupational therapy services under supervision of a licensed OT and per physician-approved treatment plans.
  • Implement individualized therapy programs to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, strength, range of motion, mobility, self-care, and functional independence.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support progress.
  • Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with OT, SLP, PT, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
