Job summary

Easterseals Central Illinois is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time role in Bloomington, IL. You will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to provide outpatient pediatric therapy and contribute to a child’s growth and independence across settings.

The position emphasizes family training, home programming, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• Must be licensed in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
• A minimum of one year of proven successful experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct outpatient pediatric therapy and documents services.
• Develops home programming and trains families/caregivers.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Maintains compliance with payer guidelines and billing for services.
• Ensures supervision and licensure requirements are met.

Education

Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Illinois state license or eligibility

Pediatric OT experience preferred
