Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY is seeking a State Registered Nurse Assistant (SRNA) to provide direct patient care under nurse supervision and collaborate with the care team. You will greet patients, assist with daily activities, document progress in the EMR, monitor telemetry, and support safety and quality initiatives in a busy surgical-pediatrics environment.

This full-time role includes weekend requirements and a 0.9 FTE scheduling.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED or higher preferred.
• SRNA certification Kentucky required upon hire and BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Greets and orients new patients to the hospital environment and unit routines.
• Fosters patient engagement by involving patients and families in handoffs and rounds.
• Provides ongoing communication through updates to the patient room care board.
• Supports a culture of safety by using error prevention tools in daily routines.
• Assists in patient assessment by collecting data and reporting abnormal findings.
• Documents patient progress in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Monitors patient conditions and supports nursing staff with care according to standards.
• Performs telemetry monitoring and documents rhythm changes per policy.
