Job summary

Centers for Independence is actively seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Pediatric Skilled Nursing to join the patient care team. The role involves performing basic nursing tasks under supervision and ensuring client safety in a multi-discipline setting.

Qualifications

• Certified nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program completed.
• Ability to work with pediatric special needs clients.
• Ability to complete the required competencies within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure safety of clients in a multi-disciplinary care setting.
• Observe client activities, detect danger, and converse with clients and staff.
• Perform basic personal care tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding assistance, skin care.
• Provide basic nursing skills as delegated by a licensed nurse: hygiene, intake/nutrition, ambulation, infection control.
