Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and clerical operations in a patient-centered health and wellness center. The CMA assists providers, conducts tests, and handles administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

The role requires blood draw skills, a high school diploma (associates preferred), CMA certification (preferred), and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Ability to draw blood.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association valid for 90 days after start date.
• Experience with pediatric patients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules.
• Certification in hearing and fit testing preferred or willing to obtain.
• Pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with treatments ordered by provider under supervision and perform select clinical duties.
• Interview patients, measure vitals, and record information.
• Perform basic clerical duties: answering phones, filing, records.
• Manage supplies and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
• Document encounters and transcribe orders as indicated.
