General Summary

The Outpatient Therapist provides psychotherapy and social services for clients and families, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The role involves treatment and discharge planning, documentation, and supporting the hospital's philosophy.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Interview clients and families to gather social history and treatment data.
• Interpret social variables related to client conditions and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Conduct psychotherapy sessions with clients and families as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and establish professional relationships.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Communicate effectively and complete tasks reliably.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and dress code policies.
• Participate in meetings, conduct group and support therapy sessions, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulations such as HFAP, Medicare, and state licensure.
• Collect data, compile reports, and monitor psychotherapy and discharge planning processes.

Physical Requirements

Monitor clients' health needs continuously to identify problems or symptoms.
