Job summary

Boys Town is seeking a psychologist for a one-year clinical position in the Behavioral Health Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska. The role focuses on delivering direct behavioral health services to children, adolescents and families, with supervision to support licensure requirements.

Responsibilities include building referral networks, providing parent training, and offering consultation to pediatricians. Ongoing education and professional development are encouraged within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited or equivalent university; advanced training in clinical psychology, behavioral pediatrics, and/or parent training.
• Successful completion of an APA approved internship or its equivalent.
• Licensure requirements at the master's level for delivery of mental health services in Nebraska.
• Graduate degree conferred by August 31 of internship year.
• License/registration to be required, based on state or jurisdiction.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical services to clients as assigned.
• Helps establish and maintain a referral base from pediatricians, local schools, other treatment providers, and community referrals.
• Provides psychological services, behavior parent training, and other essential psychological services to parents and youth.
• Provides consultation to referring pediatricians about psychological factors impacting development or medical issues.
• Participates in supervision to meet licensure requirements.
• Participates in weekly individual supervision meetings with a licensed psychologist.
• Increases knowledge of clinical psychology through continuing education and discussions.
