Job summary

Boys Town seeks a psychologist to provide clinical services to children, adolescents and families in the Behavioral Health Clinic. This is a one-year position with supervision to meet licensure requirements.

The role includes direct clinical work, family training, collaboration with pediatricians and schools, and ongoing professional development through weekly supervision and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Advanced training in clinical psychology, behavioral pediatrics, and/or parent training.
• APA-approved internship completed.
• Master’s-level licensure to deliver mental health services in Nebraska.
• Graduate degree conferred by August 31 of internship year.
• Licensure/registration as required by state or jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral health services to children, adolescents and families.
• Direct clinical services to clients as assigned.
• Establishes and maintains referral base from pediatricians, schools and community.
• Provides psychological services and parent training for referred youth.
• Provides consultation to referring pediatricians about psychological issues affecting development.
• Participates in supervision to meet licensure requirements.
• Participates in weekly supervision with a licensed psychologist.
• Pursues continuing education to enhance clinical knowledge.
