Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician II in Los Angeles, CA. You will perform duties in a licensed clinical laboratory under supervision, including patient preparation, specimen handling, reagent management, and QC activities in line with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of lab experience, 3+ years of phlebotomy (if needed), and a high school diploma with CPT certification per CDPH; AA degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working for a large laboratory or academic institution.
• 3+ years of experience in technical phlebotomy, if blood collection is required for lab section.
• Experience in medical terminology sufficient to understand and discuss technical aspects of pathology and laboratory medicine.

Responsibilities

• Patient preparation and specimen handling.
• Reagent and supply management; perform QC functions.
• Client service activities and regulatory-compliant procedures.
• Perform duties in accordance with CLIA and California regulations.
