Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) seeks a Pediatric Clinical Educator-Nursing to lead nursing education and clinical skill demonstrations across the system. The role includes promoting education for direct care providers and enhancing patient care quality.

The Educator will teach virtually and travel within central Illinois, with a 40-hour work week and schedule 8:00-4:30 at St John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. A BSN is required; MSN preferred; BLS required; PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• RN licensed in state of practice required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Four years of staff nurse or healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth nursing education and demonstrate technical skills.
• Promote education and development of direct care providers system-wide.

A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Pediatric Clinical Educator-Nursing to join our team. The Educator-Nursing position provides in-depth knowledge and demonstration of technical skills pertinent to nursing and the specialty area of practice. The position is used to promote education and development of the direct care providers to enhance the quality of care to patients. Home hospital is St. John's, but will teach virtually throughout the system and will have travel throughout central IL for teaching.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice plus 3 years clinical experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

• Four years of staff nurse or healthcare experience is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• PALS Specialty certification is preferred.
