Job summary

Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a part-time Clinical Dietician to develop and implement nutrition care plans for hospitalized patients. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to promote best practices in nutrition and improve patient outcomes through education and research.

You will assess nutritional status, determine therapy routes, monitor responses, and participate in discharge planning with care coordinators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition Science.
• Current Illinois Clinical Dietician license.
• 3 years clinical experience.
• 3 years nutrition support experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements nutrition care plans for hospitalized patients.
• Determines route and composition of nutritional therapy.
• Monitors patient response to therapy and adjusts as needed to achieve outcomes.
• Performs metabolic cart studies to identify energy requirements.
• Provides nutrition education and counseling aligned with patient needs and long-term goals.
• Collaborates with Care Coordinator on discharge nutrition planning.
