Job summary

A pediatric healthcare provider in Van Buren is seeking passionate Classroom Teaching Assistants to help children thrive. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and a willingness to work with developmentally at-risk children. Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, engaging children in fun and educational activities, and maintaining a safe learning environment. The position requires effective communication, adaptability, and teamwork. Full-time hours are Monday through Friday with a starting pay of $11.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work with developmentally at-risk children.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Ability to engage in a manner that is fun and child-centered.
• Available Monday - Friday.
• One year of experience working with children in a professional setting (preferred).
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Classroom Teacher(s) by engaging children through curriculum implementation and activities.
• Collaborate with Classroom Teacher to establish motivating learning environments.
• Ensure a clean, safe, healthy, and sanitary learning environment.
• Help children de-escalate challenging behavior.
• Implement treatment plans developed by healthcare professionals.
