Job summary

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida, is seeking a full-time CICU Registered Nurse to join our pediatric cardiac care unit in Orlando. This role offers clinical complexity, strong team support, and ongoing professional growth in a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• ASN required to apply.
• BSN preferred for advancement.
• Active Florida or multi-state RN license required.
• Minimum six months of RN experience; pediatric or cardiac experience preferred.
• National specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in the CICU.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Manage care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, ECMO patients, and medically complex cardiac populations.
• Collaborate with cardiology, cardiac surgery, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to peers, supporting professional development.
