Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, FL is seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional care on the Spiritual Care Unit on a PRN basis. The role supports patients, families, and staff through rounds, bereavement, and crisis intervention.

Requires a Master of Divinity or equivalent; CPE units must be completed as specified. Accreditation by ATS preferred or listed in relevant databases.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity or equivalent theological degree is required.
• Master level theological degrees may be considered.
• Four (4) unit CPE for full-time, two (2) units for part-time, one (1) unit for pool.
• Accreditation by ATS preferred or listed in dapip catalog.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and emotional care to patients, families, and staff.
• Document interventions on the patient chart including assessments and plans.
• Participate in rounds, ethics consultations, and advanced directive reviews.
• Offer crisis intervention and bereavement support as needed.
• Performs sacramental services or arranges for community clergy as required.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with Orlando Health policies.
