Job summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric pulmonologist to serve as Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Director in the Pulmonology/Sleep Division. This full-time role leads a CF program accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in central Illinois.

The position supports clinical care, education of medical students and residents, and ongoing research/quality improvement projects with a robust, multi-hospital network.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Board certification in Pediatrics.
• Board certification in Pediatric Pulmonology.
• Residency and fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology (3 years each).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for children with cystic fibrosis and pulmonary conditions, including procedures when indicated.
• Educate medical students and residents in CF and pediatric pulmonology.
• Collaborate with CF program leadership and division head.
• Attend CF conference and contribute to quality improvement.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for clinic operations.
• Perform admin/fiscal management for the CF clinic.
• Rotate weekend calls with APNs and physicians.
• Engage in scholarly activities within the pulmonology service.
