Job description

The Pediatric Care Technician (PCT) is an unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific nursing tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. Care provided by the PCT is supervised by a Registered Nurse.

With 35 beds, Craycroft is uniquely designed to meet the needs of patients requiring isolation or those with mobility challenges. The unit features private rooms, each with a high-efficiency filter system to protect patients with weakened immune systems, and accommodations for overnight family stays. EXPERIENCE:

• Graduation from a patient care program (i.e. MA, CNA, EMT), or two semesters of a Nursing Program, or two years in a similar role in lieu of a patient care program or nursing requirement required
• Minimum six (6) months providing direct patient care preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to be delegated tasks by the RN
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner
• Medical terminology and Bilingual skills preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
• BLS - Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
