Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association or Heartsaver post-hire within three months.
• Experience in a healthcare or caregiving setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support to patients by addressing needs and assisting with comfort and emotional well-being.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility).
• Respond promptly to call lights and communicate patient requests to nurses or other healthcare team members.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition or behavior to the nurse or supervisor.
• Escort and assist patients to various locations within the facility as needed.
• Assist with meal service and monitor food and fluid intake.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment and adhere to infection control practices.
• Support nursing staff with non-technical patient care tasks as assigned.
• Assist with basic documentation related to patient care activities.
