Job description

Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular Perfusionist oversees the operation, maintenance and application of circulation technology applications, providing age-appropriate care to patients of all ages. This includes cardiopulmonary bypass, autologous blood recovery/blood conservation, ventricular support, left heart counterpulsation, myocardial preservation, anticoagulation and hematologic monitoring/analysis, physiologic monitoring/analysis, blood gas and chemistry monitoring/analysis, induction of hypothermia/hyperthermia with reversal, hemodilution, hemofiltration, organ preservation, surgical assisting, and administration of medications, blood components and anesthetic agents via the extracorporeal circuit and any other duties as assigned.

• Three years of experience as a Cardiovascular Perfusionist
• Bachelor's degree and certificate of completion from CAAHEP accredited program in circulation technology
