Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for pediatric cardiology patients.
• Perform procedures including intubation, central line placements, and EKG interpretations.

New locum opening for Pediatric-Cardiologist in Tacoma, WA
Asap and ongoing need
Open to ANY state license to apply
Scheduled clinic hours and call
Level 2 trauma facility
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Fall 2025

Reason for coverage: Clinic acquisitions, trying to maintain previous patient volumes

Schedule/hours:
M-F 8-5 and call
Call schedule 1:4
Call back %: 25%
Open to a flexible schedule or job share with another provider: Yes
Patients per day per physician: 8-10
EMR/Documentation: Epic
Support staff: 2 other MDs, other locums, sonographers, MAs, LPNs, RNs
Board certification required or preferred: Required
Certifications required: BLS

Procedures and skills include:
Nuclears, EKG, ECHOs, TEE
Inpatient and outpatient care (not separated)
Electives and STEMI: No
Night call: General and interventional

Scope of Practice (Required):
- Non-Invasive Ventilation Management (neo-puff)
- Ventilation Management (Newborn, Pediatric)
- Acute and Chronic management
- Intubation (ETT/NT) in newborns and pediatrics
- Conscious and deep sedation
- Central line placement
- Arterial lines, UVC, UAC
- Lumbar puncture, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis
- Chest tube insertion, Needle decompression
- X-ray and EKG interpretation
- PA Catheter, Exchange transfusion
- Suturing minor lacerations
- Circumcision (type not specified)
- Swallow study
