Curative Executive & Academic Search has partnered with Children’s Hospital in New Orleans to conduct a national search for an outstanding physician leader to serve as Section Head for Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine. The successful candidate will also assume the role of Director of the Cath Lab at Children’s Hospital.
This leader will join an impressive team of faculty at The Heart Center within Children’s Hospital, comprising 18 full-time pediatric cardiologists, 2 pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, and 5 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists. The Heart Center offers subspecialty expertise in Pediatric and Fetal Imaging, Electrophysiology, Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Intensive Care, and Adult Congenital Cardiology. It is part of the only freestanding quaternary care children’s hospital in New Orleans and Louisiana and is recognized as the top academic heart program in the state.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence and academic success in interventional cardiology. Responsibilities include leading the development and growth of a comprehensive, state-of-the-art interventional cardiology program at Children’s Hospital.
Children’s Hospital in New Orleans is a 247-bed quaternary care teaching complex located in the historic and vibrant Uptown area. It serves the entire state of Louisiana and the central Gulf Coast region. Recently, the hospital completed a renovation and expansion exceeding $300 million, which includes a new 28-bed dedicated acute care and cardiac intensive care unit, two new cardiac operating rooms, and two new cardiac catheterization suites.
