Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (24 hours per week) for Pediatric Cardiology in Kalamazoo. The role includes nursing tasks under provider direction, vital signs, immunizations, patient histories, and chart documentation. Eligibility for CMA/CCMA/RMA certification within 6 months is required, with BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent CMA/CCMA/RMA eligible.
• High school diploma or GED required; CMA/RMA/CMA eligibility must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Under provider direction, performs general nursing functions for the practice.
• Records vitals, immunizations, initial patient assessments, and histories.
• Assists with examinations, prepares patients for procedures, and documents in chart.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates strong communication with patients and staff.
