Job summary

UVA Health Children's is expanding its Pediatric Cardiology inpatient program in the new South Tower. We are seeking Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) to deliver comprehensive, family-centered care for children with complex cardiac conditions.

The role supports the Cardiology Acute Care service with rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Onboarding includes up to 12 months of specialty training and orientation to ensure readiness for the expanded program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
• Current BLS, Current PALS/NRP as required, specific to position.
• ACNP or PA licensure in Virginia; DEA registration where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical management of pediatric cardiac acute-care patients.
• Perform daily assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with Pediatric Cardiology attending physicians, fellows, and interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure coverage for day, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
