West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Cardiologist for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The candidate will practice at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, South Charleston, WV, and the greater Huntington, WV area.
The successful candidate will join our Pediatric Cardiology Division, supporting patients on the Children's Hospital campus and statewide through outreach programs including clinics, telemedicine, and diagnostic testing. Our team includes specialists in general cardiology, advanced imaging, interventional catheterization, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, and preventive cardiology.
Duties: The candidate will practice in all pediatric cardiology areas, including outpatient clinics, emergency department, inpatient consults, and home call. They will also participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent, eligibility for a state medical license, board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology. For higher ranks, leadership experience, excellent communication, and publications are required. All criteria must be met by appointment.
WVU Medicine Children's Hospital is a tertiary care center offering surgical interventions for congenital heart defects, with a full suite of pediatric facilities and plans to expand trauma level designation.
