This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant and collegial academic environment. The Divisions of Pediatric Cardiology and Neonatology at the University of Utah School of Medicine are seeking a full-time, non-invasive Pediatric Cardiologist and Neonatologist with expertise in non-invasive imaging and pulmonary hypertension. Responsibilities include inpatient care at Primary Children's Hospital Main and Lehi Campuses, as well as at the University of Utah and Intermountain Medical Center NICUs. The candidate should be capable of managing all aspects of neonatology, including ECMO, and general pediatric cardiology, serving as a consultant in the cardiac ICU and other acute care units. Inpatient work is supported by advanced practice providers, fellows, and residents. Outpatient clinics include neurodevelopmental follow-up, pulmonary hypertension, and neonatal follow-up. Call duties are shared among faculty. Academic productivity in research, quality improvement, teaching, and advocacy is expected and supported.
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology has a robust research program, participating in NIH-funded studies and national registries. The Division of Neonatology is involved in national clinical trials and supports active basic science labs focusing on BPD and CDH-associated pulmonary hypertension. The centers offer numerous collaborative research opportunities.
Candidates must be Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Cardiology, with expertise in non-invasive imaging and pulmonary hypertension. Faculty appointment will be offered at an academic level based on experience.
