Job summary

Akron Children's Heart Center is seeking a full-time pediatric cardiologist with expertise in cardiac imaging (CT, MRI, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography). The role focuses on imaging while contributing to inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology services.

The candidate will teach medical students and pursue academic activities within a collaborative, supportive team, with generous vacation and CME time and strong opportunities for leadership and program development.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in pediatric cardiology.
• Board eligibility/certification in pediatric cardiology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.
• Clinical expertise in cardiac CT and MRI (required).

Job Overview

Akron Children's Heart Center seeks a full‑time pediatric cardiologist with expertise in cardiac imaging (CT, MRI, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography). The successful candidate will join a well‑established group expanding the services of the Heart Center team.

Responsibilities

Clinical work will be focused on imaging, but candidates will also participate in inpatient general pediatric cardiology service and outpatient clinic. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to teach medical students and pursue other academic pursuits.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in pediatric cardiology
• Board eligibility/certification in pediatric cardiology
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio
• Clinical expertise in cardiac CT and MRI (required). Experience with fetal echocardiography is beneficial but not required.
