Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista is seeking an experienced cardiovascular sonographer to assist with M-Mode, 2-D, and Doppler echo studies across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. The role supports physicians, interprets data for patient age-specific needs, and contributes to a skilled cardiology team.

The position requires several specialized certifications and ongoing education, with a full-time schedule in San Luis Obispo's cardiology department and participation in a rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Two years experience as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer or completion of a one year certified cardiac ultrasound course (Preferred).
• Two years experience as a vascular sonographer or completed a certified vascular sonographer course (Preferred).
• Two years experience as a pediatric cardiac sonographer or completed a certified pediatric sonography course (Preferred).
• One years' experience as a Fetal ECHO sonographer or completed a certified Fetal ECHO sonography course (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs M-Mode with calculations, 2-D with all views and Doppler echo analysis.
• Performs peripheral vascular procedures: arterial/venous Doppler, segmental pressures, A/I index, carotid ultrasound.
• Performs tilt table exams, treadmills, 24 hour holters, and pharmacological studies.
• Keeps up-to-date with advances in cardiovascular techniques and equipment.
• Precepts new staff and mentors others as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
