Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Nurse Manager, Pediatric CVOR to lead the Cardiac Operating Room team and guide patient care across the cardiac operative suite.

The ideal candidate will combine pediatric CVOR leadership with scrub and circulating nursing experience, strong change management, and commitment to evidence-based practice and quality outcomes in a Magnet-inspired environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• At least five years of clinical experience required; pediatrics preferred.
• Previous management experience required.
• Active Delaware registered nurse license required.
• Certification in nursing administration and/or CVOR preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice and organizational decision-making within the Pediatric Cardiac OR.
• Ensure accountability for safe, high-quality, and appropriate care for patients and families.
• Guide, supervise, mentor, and develop team members reporting to the Nurse Manager.
• Coordinate nursing services with other health care disciplines to support seamless perioperative care.
• Recruit, select, retain, staff, and schedule personnel to promote effective team utilization.
• Ensure appropriate orientation, education, credentialing, and continuing professional development.
• Evaluate personnel performance and foster a strong culture of peer review and professional growth.
• Plan and monitor the budget for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Engage staff in evaluative research and create meaningful learning experiences for nursing and other students.
