Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Pediatric CVOR in Wilmington, DE. You will lead nursing practice, mentor a specialized team, and drive evidence-based care in a high-volume pediatric cardiac operating room.

You will oversee clinical operations, collaborate across disciplines, ensure credentialing and ongoing professional development, and manage resources to support excellent patient outcomes and lean improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Five years clinical experience required; pediatrics preferred.
• Previous management experience required.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, management theory, and the change process.
• Active Delaware RN license required.
• Certification in nursing administration and/or CVOR preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification required.

Nemours is seeking a Nurse Manager, Pediatric CVOR to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE.

Bring your cardiovascular operating room expertise and leadership vision to our dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Operating Room. As Cardiac OR Nurse Manager, you will guide patient care across the cardiac operative suite, mentor and develop a highly specialized team, and cultivate an environment where clinical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement thrive. Our Cardiac OR performs approximately 200 cardiac procedures annually, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and families every day.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished nursing leader with pediatric cardiac OR experience as both a scrub and circulating nurse. You will pair deep clinical expertise with strategic thinking, fiscal stewardship, strong change-management skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and benchmarked quality outcomes.

In this role, you will facilitate, coordinate, and direct patient care services while leading the planning and effective use of human and material resources. You will champion the principles of the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet model, support departmental and hospital quality assessment and improvement programs, and translate opportunities into actions aligned with the goals of the Nemours Foundation. Your leadership will advance evidence-based care delivery, exceptional patient service and outcomes, LEAN or similar continuous-improvement practices, and responsible resource management.
