VCU Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer/Technologist to perform ultrasound imaging exams with independence and professional judgment. You will select appropriate transducers, verify orders, and document findings for interpretation by a licensed practitioner in an academic medical center.

The role requires certification (RDCS or RCCS), BLS, graduation from a cardiac sonography program or bachelor’s degree, and at least 1 year of experience. Flexible shifts may be required.

Formación

• Certification by RDCS (AE and/or PE) or RCCS (CCI).
• Current RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS or RCCS (CCI) certification is required for continued employment.

Responsabilidades

• Independent action with minimal assistance in completing ultrasound imaging exams.
• Perform ultrasound imaging according to physician orders, department protocols and safety standards.
• Communicate findings and educate patients, maintaining proper documentation.
• Maintain ALARA principles and participate in continuous quality improvement activities.

Educación

Graduation from allied health education program in cardiac sonography

Bachelor's degree in cardiac sonography
