Job summary

Seattle Children’s Heart Center in Seattle, WA seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PNP-AC or PA-C) to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The CICU is the region’s only dedicated pediatric cardiac ICU, serving several states and recognized for excellence.

You will provide frontline, high-acuity medical management as part of an interprofessional team, handling congenital and acquired heart disease with ECMO and VAD support, and participating in complex procedures, critical care

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing with acute care focus or PA program graduate.
• One year pediatric or family-focused clinical experience.
• Washington state licensure and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Frontline medical management for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in CICU.
• Collaborate with cardiac intensivists, surgeons, cardiologists, nurses and therapists.
• Manage complex congenital and acquired heart disease care, including post-op and transplantation.
• Support ECMO and VAD technologies and perform bedside procedures.
• Participate in resuscitations, care planning, and family communications.
• Cross-cover and redeploy within Heart Center as needed.
