University of Texas at Austin, in partnership with Dell Medical School and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas, seeks a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider to join a multidisciplinary team delivering world-class pediatric care.

The role requires credentials as a Physician Assistant or Texas-Board–certified RN/APN with Prescriptive Authority in Cardiac Critical Care, and experience with complex congenital and acquired heart disease in a Pediatric CCU.

Qualifications

• Physician's Assistant or RN credentialed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• APN with Prescriptive Authority in Cardiac Critical Care.
• Credentialed in Acute Care nursing by the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Experience caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease in a Pediatric CCU.

Responsibilities

• Counsels and educates cardiac critical care patients and families concerning health conditions and treatment options.
• Documents delivery of cardiac care and nursing processes per care standards.
• Participates in orientation and education of staff and students.
• Obtains patient history and performs assessments in cardiac critical care.
