Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a Staff Nurse for the Cardiac Antithrombosis Management Program (CAMP). You will provide comprehensive anticoagulation management for children and young adults with complex cardiovascular conditions.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care, educating families, and ensuring safe, protocol-driven anticoagulation. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow in advanced cardiovascular therapies within ambulatory cardiology.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pediatric nursing experience.
• Pediatric cardiac experience preferred.
• Experience managing pediatric and/or adults on anticoagulant medication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage anticoagulation therapy, including induction, bridging, and maintenance treatment plans.
• Monitor laboratory results and adjust anticoagulant medications per protocols.
• Coordinate transitions between anticoagulant therapies and support peri-procedural management.
• Provide patient/family education and counseling to promote adherence and safe care.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, pharmacists and other providers to optimize outcomes.
• Monitor follow-up needs, address critical results, and ensure timely communication with care teams.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and anticoagulation systems.
• Serve as a clinical resource for anticoagulation guidelines and best practices.
• Support cross-training for heart failure, transplant, and VAD patients.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research, and professional development.
