Job Description

Driscoll Health System is actively seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join its expanding team at Driscoll Children's Hospital, a renowned pediatric tertiary care center in South Texas. Driscoll Children's Hospital is a 243-bed facility that provides a wide range of specialized care for children across South Texas. The hospital serves a large area, covering 33 counties and 33,000 square miles, with a patient population that presents complex and high-acuity medical conditions. Driscoll Children's Hospital is home to one of the largest NICU populations in the country, supported by a state-of-the-art unit with 60 beds.
The hospital has recently expanded with a five-floor pavilion, featuring 35 CICU beds (Cardiac Intensive Care Unit), 22 PICU beds (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), 60 NICU beds (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), 2 new CV OR's, 2 new Cath labs, and a new Day Surgery Unit. In 2023 we had 544 Cardiac admissions to the PICU and 193 CV surgical cases. Additionally, our STS results are nationally ranked, with the lowest mortality rate in the nation for the STAT 5 category.
