Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) seeks a full-time Paraprofessional to support students in a busy school setting. This role focuses on safety, mobility assistance, and everyday care under supervision, helping children reach their potential.

The Bus Aide will help students board and exit safely, monitor behavior, and coordinate with drivers and staff. PDS offers competitive pay, health and retirement benefits, and a supportive, positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Ensure all students are seated and secured properly during transit.
• Provide support to students with mobility challenges, including assisting with wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
• Communicate effectively with the bus driver and school staff regarding any issues or concerns during transportation.
• Attend to the needs of individual students, including assisting with personal care tasks if necessary.
• Follow established safety protocols and emergency procedures in the event of an incident or emergency on the bus.
• Help out with other tasks in the school when needed.
